Looelle |
A soulful blend of rhythm and harmony. Flush with guitar and cajon, Ellen and Niloo wrap their vocal harmonies around topics of love, loss and activism. And although their songs soothe, their grooves will move you to velvet realms. They ride on into the sunset together as LOOELLE, weaving their taste for the dark and dreamy, melodic and melancholic along the way. Looelle is releasing their first self titled EP in July.

Kara Taylor |
Kara Taylor is a local musician who originally hails from Ottawa. Her style is like her personality: full of variety. Her musical influences are heard across her unique tracks, from riot girl rock, to jazz and blues, to hip hop, to electronic, and more recently — a little bit of (old) country. They have performed as a singer-songwriter and guitarist for over two decades, with their raw, emotional lyrics and sultry vocals. In 2012, Kara put out a self-titled E.P., which won them a Q-award for Best of Artist of the Year from queer and trans community. After taking a hiatus since 2012, this year brought Kara back home to the stage with a new sound, new songs, and a new instrument — the piano — which has given her powerful vocals the room they deserve, and has blown apart stylistic doors that Kara was born to open.

The Half Moon Shine |
The Half Moon Shine is a four femme songwriting collective and band from Victoria, BC, featuring all original doo-wop, americana, and country songs. It was their love of sweet country harmonies that bound them all together in the beginning, and it shines through on their debut debut album Do Right, released in December of 2017. Their live shows have a heavy dose of endearing banter, a juggling act of trading instruments and magically appearing trumpets, and all the sweet harmonies you could ask for. They don’t shy away from some heavy emotions on stage, but their positivity, love, and support for each other shines through. With each live performance, these women welcome you into their world of whiskey, adventure, and heartbreak, allowing you to find yourself within the stories they share.
